“…the arranger works with ready-made musical material, but gives it a different form and sometimes content. Famous music can sound completely unexpected, surprising the listener with new colors – melodic or harmonic turns or amplified by new rhythmic constructions. And it is possible to work both in the direction of strengthening the format, and vice versa, reducing the composition of the performers to the minimum possible. Of course, this requires a lot of professional skills: knowledge of instruments, their sound in different registers, perfect knowledge of harmony, solfeggio and polyphony, sense of form and style, and … in general, you have to love this job”

Arrangers’ tasks include:

  • Composing or refining the harmony of the composition;
  • Composing a melody for the instrument parts;
  • Creating the rhythmic part of the song (drums, percussion, noise instruments);
  • Composing the bass, rhythm and solo instruments;
  • Selection of additional instruments and their harmonious combination in order to correctly convey the author’s idea;
  • If necessary, transfer the musical work into orchestration and instrumentation;
